Version 2 Deployment Assistance
In an effort to verify the interoperability of NTCIP 1203 Version 2 in the field, the Virginia
Department of Transportation (VDOT) is undertaking an effort to deploy a system
using this standard. This project will integrate dynamic message signs from two separate
manufacturers and a central system from a third party. It will also develop a set
of tools that can assist any public sector agency in their efforts to deploy NTCIP
1203 version 2. Among these tools include test procedures and a testing workshop.
Trevilon
Corporation is a subcontractor to Cambridge Systematics through the
Federal Highway Administration’s Indefinite Quantities Contract
(IQC) to provide independent verification and validation of NTCIP
1203 Version 2 and VDOT Implementation Support of the standard.
